Fujifilm X-T4 #
The Fujifilm X-T4 is my latest upgrade to my camera gear after several years of using my Canon EOS 400D. I bought this camera in march 2023 shortly before my journey to the USA. So far I am really happy with my purchase and enjoy using it every time. Changing from Canon to Fujifilm does bring it’s challenges and definitely has a learning curve, but that challenge also sparks new joy in this hobby.
Canon EOS 400D #
The Canon EOS 400D was my first DSLR and was the reason why I got more and more into photography. I used it for nearly 15 years and enjoyed it for a long time. Me using it for so long is a good example that it isn’t really about the gear and more about the creativity of what you can do with it. Comparing it with more modern and newer cameras I can’t deny though that it did not make as much fun anymore. The images are still great but the small screen on the back made it quite boring, especially when comparing to a new screens.
Lenses #
When it comes to lenses I prefer to usually have two for my current camera. One zoom lens and one prime lens. For my Fujifilm I got the Tamaron 18-300mm as it is quite versatile, which allows me to take a broad range of different photographs. On my Canon I did enjoy using the EF 50 mm prime lense a lot.
Zoom #
- Tamaron 18-300mm F/3.5-6.3 Di III-A VC VXD ⌀ 67mm
- Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-55mm 1:3.5-5.6 II ⌀ 58mm
- Canon Zoom Lens EF-S 18-200mm 1:3.5-5.6 IS ⌀ 72mm
Prime #
- Canon Lens EF 50mm 1:1.8 II ⌀52mm
Accessories #
Filter #
The two filters I mostly use are circular pol filters as they are great for landscape photography. With them I can get the most out of the blue sky and produce a nice contrast around the clouds.
- hama. CPL coated M 67 (MMX)
- sirix Digital CPL 72mm
Clips #
- The Peak Design Capture Clip helps me when I am out hiking with my camera. With it, it’s just so easy to put the camera into the clip and have your hands free again.
